The first and prolific step in developing the industrial component of Cornubia Industrial and Business Estate has commenced with the development of the new Digistics warehouse by J.T. Ross.

Digistics, a nationwide logistics, strategy and technology solutions company, has grown tremendously over the past decade to become a key player in the multi-temperature distribution operations across South Africa. With influential clients including KFC and McDonalds, Digistics has become the leader in the Quick Service Restaurant (QSR) industry.

To extend its nationwide portfolio and as a part of the overall growth strategy, Digistics has chosen to house its main distribution hub in the Cornubia Industrial Business Park, which is conveniently situated in the budding industrial node on the Northern growth Corridor of Durban.
This 8 000mrefrigerated warehouse is to be the first of many warehousing and logistics buildings to be developed in this promising business park and is set to begin trading by the end of 2013.

Digistics Director, Andre Nel, is very excited about this investment and says: “The area creates the beginning of a new logistics node in KZN with a modern industrial park feel. We are expecting to see the usual high quality infrastructure that Tongaat has delivered in other areas in the past to serve as a platform for our long-term growth needs. Through partnering with J.T. Ross, we were able to meet an aggressive build plan to ensure we are operational in the new facility by the end of 2013”.

J.T. Ross, a national property construction and development company, has taken ownership of 16 hectares of land within Cornubia to develop the progressive industrial node of the Cornubia Industrial Business Park. J.T. Ross has carved out a reputation of quality, integrity and reliability by always delivering on its promise of superior performance in construction development. With the backing of this 110-year business, the Digistics warehouse is surely to be the first of many successful logistics and business hubs within the Cornubia Industrial Business Park.
