As the leading developer and manager for property investments in South Africa, the JT Ross Property Group is passionate about uplifting our surrounding communities. We recognise the role that businesses need to play; leveraging resources available to us to move South Africa and other communities forward. Without the support of business and leaders, governments have a near impossible task. We also acknowledge that without the support of South Africa’s people; their skills and their sheer hard work, we would not be able to do what we do.

John Douglas Ross Bursary Trust
The Trust awards bursaries to University of KZN students studying towAards a BSc Property Development degree, as well as to students within the Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying and related building science faculties. To date, we have helped numerous students with our bursaries and are happy to see the results of the initiative.
“I was a bursary recipient from JT Ross in the early 2000’s when I was completing my BSc (Hons) in Quantity Surveying at UKZN. I then graduated and moved on to work in a Professional QS company as a Junior QS, after which I then got into the Nedbank Graduate Programme and worked in the Property Finance area, within the PM department. A year later I was promoted to look after the Gauteng PM division for Nedbank. I spent five years with the Nedbank Group and then was asked by The Standard Bank Group to look after their PM area for all development loans in South Africa and the rest of Africa. I also now sit on the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) South African Board and am the Vice Chair of the Women’s Property Network (WPN). So I thought I’d say a big ‘Thank You’ for your generous contribution twelve years ago, because the bursary made the world of difference at a time when I was up to my ears in student loans for my studies.”
